"Hello, I'm here to tell you adults you must change your way of acting, I'm here to fight for my future and speak for the generations to come.

have no guarantee about the future is not the same as losing an election or points on the stock exchange.

I am here to defend the hungry children, whose cries go unheard.

I am here to speak for the countless animals dying across this planet because they have nowhere else to go.

Today, I am afraid to sunbathe because of the holes in the ozone layer.

I am afraid to breathe the air because I do not know what chemicals are in it.

throughout my life I dreamed of seeing the great herds of wild animals, jungles and rainforests full of birds and butterflies, but now I wonder if my children will be able to see it all.

you worry about these things when you were my age?

I am an only child and I have no solutions, but I know that you do not have.

you do not know how to fix the holes in the ozone layer. you do not know how to save the fish from polluted waters. you can not resurrect the extinct animals.
you can not bring back forests that once existed in what is now desert.

"Olá, estou aqui para dizer que vocês adultos tem que mudar o seu jeito de agir, estou aqui para lutar pelo meu futuro e falar em nome das gerações que estão por vir.

Não ter garantia sobre o futuro não é o mesmo que perder uma eleição ou pontos na bolsa de valores.

Estou aqui para defender as crianças com fome, cujos apelos não são ouvidos.

Estou aqui para falar em nome dos incontáveis animais morrendo em todo o planeta porque não têm mais para onde ir.

Hoje, tenho medo de tomar sol por causa dos buracos na camada de ozônio.

Tenho medo de respirar esse ar porque não sei que substâncias químicas o estão contaminando.

Durante toda a minha vida eu sonhei ver grandes manadas de animais selvagens, selvas, florestas tropicais repletas de pássaros e borboletas, mas agora eu me pergunto se meus filhos vão poder ver tudo isso.

Vocês se preocupavam com essas coisas quando tinham a minha idade?

Sou apenas uma criança e não tenho as soluções, mas quero que saibam que vocês também não tem.

Vocês não sabem como reparar os buracos na camada de ozônio. Vocês não sabem como salva os peixes das águas poluídas. vocês não podem ressucitar os animais extintos.
Vocês não podem recuperar as florestas que um dia existiram, onde hoje é deserto.

Se vocês não podem recuperar nada disso, então por favor, parem de destruir!

Aqui, vocês são representantes dos seus governos, homens de negócios, admnistradores, jornalistas ou políticos.

Mas na verdade são mães e pais, irmãos e irmãs, tias e tios, e todos também são filhos.

Sou apenas uma criança, mas ainda assim sei que se todo o dinheiro gasto nas guerras fosse usado para acabar com a pobreza, para achar soluções para os problemas ambientais, que lugar maravilhoso seria o planeta terra.

Não esqueçam o motivo de estarem assistindo essas conferências, e para quem vocês estão fazendo isso. vejam-se como seus próprios filhos.

Vocês estão decidindo em que tipo de mundo nós iremos crescer.

Os pais devem ser capazes de confortar seus filhos dizendo-lhes: "tudo ficará bem", "estamos fazendo o melhor que podemos". mas não acredito que possam nos dizer isso.

Estamos sequer nas suas listas de prioridades.

Eu desafio vocês, por favor, façam suas ações refletirem suas palavras.
