Creating the Base Chart
Start by bringing the order date onto the rows as month and change it from continuous to discrete. Drag the quantity into the view to set up your initial chart.

Creating Calculated Fields
Create a calculated field named "Current" to display only the current month's quantity by testing if the date trunc month of order date is equal to the date trunc month of today. Similarly, create a "Previous" field by subtracting one month from today and a "Last Year" field by subtracting one year.

Adding Calculated Fields to View
Bring the "Current," "Previous," and "Last Year" fields into the view to display the respective quantities. Adjust the view to create a bar chart by moving measure values to rows and removing unnecessary fields.

Customizing the Bar Chart
Finalize your bar chart by ensuring each calculated field displays correctly, allowing for a clear comparison between the current month, previous month, and the same month in the previous year.
