2026 Honda Pioneer is Here - New Body, HVAC, Cab and more - We Check it Out!

After nearly 10 years the trusty Honda Pioneer is getting an update. New for 2026 the Honda Pioneer 1000 gets a new body style, and a new Elite model featuring an enclosed cab and HVAC from the factory. I have a soft spot for the Pioneer as it was my first SXS and man the adventures and memories created with that machine were awesome. I still miss a lot about the good old Pioneer and seeing these updates were great. Some of the highlights from checking this out was obviously the frame being designed with the cab in mind. In the past the round tubes of the ROPS made getting a solid seal on the glass a challenge. The new frame is optimized for that and the new look of the front is a nice evolution. The motor and back half looked very familiar. The good news is, the Pioneer DNA is still familiar, but I know some will wish it was more of a drastic update. Hopefully we get to hit the trails with one soon!
