Solar Backpacks made from recycled plastic bags

Repurpose Schoolbags is an innovative young company based in Rustenburg, South Africa, which melts down old shopping bags and turns them into fantastic bags for schoolkids in the area made from the recycled plastic.

Repurpose then goes one better and fits a small solar cell from a Consol light, so that kids can charge a battery during the day adn use it to power a light to study by in the evening. Simple, ingenious, proudly South African.
