DIY Tour of Mount Bromo: Java, Indonesia

The sunrise at Mount Bromo is iconic. It's one of the most visited tourist attractions in East Java, Indonesia...and for a good reason! It's BEAUTIFUL.

We took a train to Probolinggo and a bemo to Cemoro Lawang. We created our own tour of the active volcano, the Sea of Sand, and part of Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park.

Costs Per Person:
Bemo to Bus station: Rp10,000 ($0.71)
Bemo to Bromo: Rp40,000 ($2.83)
Bromo Entry Fee and "Viewpoint" fee: Rp240,000 ($16.96)
Motobikes: Rp225,000 ($15.90)

Total Costs: Rp515,000 ($36.39)

This does not include our train to and from Probolinggo and our 1 night hotel in Cemoro Lawang. We recommend 2 nights in Cemoro Lawang. 1 night felt way too short!

Filmed on November 6-7, 2019. Right now is not the time to travel. However, let's use this time to plan our next trips when it's safe to travel again.
