Arg Square, also known as Shah Square or the Old Artillery Square, is one of the historic landmarks in Tehran, Iran. Its origins date back to the Safavid era, making it one of the oldest squares in the city. Located near the Golestan Palace and the Tehran Bazaar, Arg Square was once a central hub of activity in the city.

During the Qajar period, the square served as an entrance to the Golestan Palace and was a storage site for artillery, including the famous "Pearl Cannon." Over time, the square underwent significant changes, with many of its original structures being replaced by newer buildings. Today, the square is surrounded by various landmarks, such as the Arg Mosque, the historic Radio Building, and the entrance to the Golestan Palace.
