The Seven Bowls & Armageddon

The seven bowls are seven vindictive judgements, judgements without mercy, plagues that afflict those who received the mark of the beast. The ultimate purpose of the seven last plagues is God carrying out vengeance on the wicked for how they treated and killed His holy people (LAM 3:64,  REV 18:6.) Because God is Holy and infinite, his judgements are just.

In this study, we will look at the the analogy of the drying up of the great river Euphrates, the 6th bowl. We will also look at the meaning of the the three unclean spirits John sees coming from the mouths of the dragon, the beast and the false prophet and their purpose.

Like much of the analogous language read in Revelation, we will look at how the final battle between good and evil and the events leading up to describe an epic display of power and authority. It is compared to the plains of Meggido in the ancient times, the battlefield of Kings.
