Replacing Solenoid $50 Craftsman LT1000. Will It Start?

I bought this Craftsman LT1000 to replace the one we had been using at St. Bernard Acres for the last 6 years. It was in a field and wouldn't start, so I took a chance on it for $50.

The first thing I did was replace the battery, to no avail. Secondly I replaced the solenoid, and it worked!

Now we have another beater to help with the clean up at St. Bernard Acres
