Exploring an abandoned fairytale village somewhere high in the Snowdonia mountains, tucked away in the woodland, a hidden secret… an enchanting scene of Italy's iconic landmarks.

A welsh man single handedly created this nostalgic shrine to a lifetime of Italian holidays.

Over 30 structures hand crafted over 25 years, consisting of cement, wire and stones collected nearby, this is truly a local, if not national, treasure.

Shrunken down versions of the tower of pisa, the rialto bridge, the Duomo and a lofty Siennas bell tower, looking over the whole display from the top of the terraced garden.

Now, 12 years after the creators passing, all the structures remain standing but nature continues to climb their walls, gradually reclaiming the hillside.
