I'm not a gamer, but I painted Skyrim | Watercolor Process

Is it possible to paint a video game world without being a gamer? 🌲✨

In this video, I take you behind the scenes of my largest watercolor painting yet (56x76cm). Inspired by the rugged, ancient atmosphere of Skyrim, I explore how to translate digital landscapes into my own "wild" and mythological style.

From a creative "clash" with my husband (the resident gaming expert) to the technical struggle of working on 640g Arches paper mounted on Forex, this was a journey of silence, mist, and ancient magic.

In this video, you will see:
- My scouting process inside the world of Skyrim.
- Why I decided to remove literal ruins for a more "haunted" atmosphere.
- The physics of large-scale watercolor washes.
- How I fixed a "crisis" with the mage's hand using Gouache.
- The subtle magic of metallic watercolors.

💬 QUESTION OF THE DAY: What is a place, a book, or a game that makes you feel that "ancient" chill or a sense of wonder? Let me know in the comments below!
