What to expect from the FOCAC Beijing Summit 2018?

Leaders from 53 African countries and the chairperson of the African Union (AU) Commission will gather in Beijing next week, to seek further mutually beneficial China-Africa cooperation. In the past few decades, cooperation between China and Africa has deepened and political mutual trust promoted. But in the meantime, China-Africa cooperation in politics and economics is facing some challenges. During the forthcoming Forum for African China Cooperation Beijing Summit, how will China and African countries deepen their cooperation and promote bilateral ties to a higher level? In what ways can China support African integration and interdependence of economies? To what extent can healthy China-Africa ties contribute to international relations and world affairs?
