Pharrell Williams was caught off-guard at his own press conference earlier this week when a group of local children surprised him by taking on the task of questioning him on his new book, 'Happy!'. The London based kids grilled him about his favorite book, where he likes to read, and if he orders a Happy Meal at McDonalds.

Penguin Random House Children’s will publish the first book, HAPPY! - a picture book featuring photographs of children across cultures celebrating what it means to be happy, inspired by the words of this best-loved song - under the Puffin imprint simultaneously with the US publisher, Putnam, an imprint of Penguin Young Readers on October 6th, 2015.

In 2014, Pharrell Williams’ Oscar-nominated song “Happy!” became the UK’s most downloaded track. It has 630 million views on YouTube and has sold 12 million copies worldwide, becoming one of the world’s bestselling singles.

Pharrell recently spoke to the UN about the birthright that is happiness on the International Day of Happiness, and won best International Male Solo Artist at the Brit Awards.
