If you look closely at Drago’s armor, it’s completely black, and the scales look almost identical to Night Fury skin. Other dragons don’t even have full black scales like that! What if Drago proved his dominance by hunting and killing a Night Fury in the past and now wears its hide as a trophy?

In the first movie, Hiccup targeted a Night Fury to prove himself. Could Drago have done the same thing long ago? This would explain why everyone fears the name Night Fury except Drago.
