Bibb County Sheriff's Office looking for 79-year-old man with dimentia, release says

The Bibb County Sheriff's Office is seeking assistance in locating a man with dementia who has been missing for more than 24 hours in north Macon, according to a release.

The release said Carl Ford, 79, went missing around 7 p.m. on Friday after he was seen leaving a store within the 4100 block of Napier Avenue.

According to the release, Ford was last seen wearing a white shirt, blue jeans and brown shoes. He is described as 5-foot-11 and 165 pounds.

The sheriff's office said his family informed them that he suffers from dementia and appears to have wandered off. They said that he also requires medication and didn't take it.
