From facing rejections to representing a film at Cannes | Brut Original with Vishal Jethwa

My mom asked me to leave the industry..." Vishal Jethwa spoke to Brut about his journey from background dancer to representing a film at Cannes. He opened up about his early days, auditions, rejections, his first film audition, his role in Mardaani 2, and his chemistry with co-actors Janhvi Kapoor and Ishaan Khatter on the sets of Homebound.

His film Homebound competed in the Un Certain Regard category at the 78th Cannes Film Festival.

The film is inspired from an article by journalist and author Basharat Peer, which follows the story of two men who were a part of the mass migration of workers during the Covid pandemic.
