7. Valley Of The Kings, Egypt

One of the most famous haunted places in the world is the Valley of the Kings in Egypt. For about five hundred years between the 16th and 11th centuries BC, pharaohs and influential nobles were buried there in tombs cut out of stone. The valley has a total of sixty-three tombs, the most well-known of which belonged to Tutankhamun - or King Tut. Many of these resting places were decorated with religious scenes from the Egyptian burial text called “Amduat.” Others were adorned with images from the Book of Gates, Book of Caverns, Book of the Earth, and other important texts. The pharaohs and nobles were buried with items that would help them in the afterlife, many of which were used during their lifetimes. Nowadays, many of the burial sites are in ruins, but the Valley of the Kings is a very popular tourist attraction, with around four thousand visitors daily. Most of the tombs are closed to the public, but the presence of these ancient spirits is still there.
