Rowley Shoals - Odyssey Expeditions Dive Trip - November 2021
We visited the Rowley Shoals on a 8 Day Liveaboard with Odyssey Expedition.
We completed 22 Scubadives in 6 days and had lots of fun. The boat and the crew were amazing and provided everything we needed.
For us it was the first time we have been properly exposed to drift diving. We found it very save and well managed by the boat and crew.
We are glad that we completed our Advanced PADI Cert for this trip, as it allowed us to go the extra depth. I do recommend this to anyone who is PADI Open Water, ... do your Advanced before you go.
The water temperature was mostly 27 Degrees Celsius. We used 3mm Wetsuits. Lost of other guests went in Boardshorts, while some did dive in 5mm. I personally freeze easily, but felt more than fine in a 3mm. I did my last dive in Boardshorts and was fine. As it was the last dive, I was not concerned about getting cold and maybe not warming up before the next dive.
All in all, the diving was amazing and all our dives since had a hard time living up to this trip.
This was one of the best trips we have ever done and this includes me flooding my underwater camera housing on the first dive. All footage has been shot with our GoPro9 instead (aside the drone footage).
A big THANK YOU to the crew of the Odyssey and the staff behind the scene. We genuinely loved this trip and would love to do this one again one day.
