In this video I talk about LiveData and the architectural design pattern known as MVVM.

When android was first introduced, developers put almost all their code in a single activity. This lead to code bases that were extremely difficult to read and maintain.

As a result of this, developers started coming up with their own architectures. Google wanted to streamline android architectures so it wouldn't be so confusing. That's how MVVM and the life-cycle library was born.
