How to grow forget-me-nots from seed indoors?
To successfully grow forget-me-nots from seed indoors, start by chilling the seeds in the refrigerator for 2-4 weeks to mimic winter conditions and improve germination. Sow the seeds in a tray filled with moist, well-draining seed-starting mix, gently pressing them into the surface without covering them completely, as they need light to germinate. Cover the tray with a plastic dome or bag to maintain humidity. Place the tray in a cool location, ideally around 60-70°F (15-21°C), and provide indirect light. Germination typically takes 2-3 weeks. Once the seedlings emerge, remove the cover and move them to a brighter location, such as under grow lights. Keep the soil consistently moist but not waterlogged. When the seedlings are large enough to handle, transplant them into individual pots and continue growing indoors until they are ready to be hardened off and transplanted outdoors after the last frost.
