Tarifa | Kiteboarding Levante | Gibraltar Detour

Three weeks in to my trip to Portugal I had a sudden realisation that I was about to turn 28 and the forecast for Tarifa was looking pretty sweet hit me all of a sudden. I organised a trip down there while my friend Rita asked to come along for the ride. It just so happened my old kitesurfing boss Simon was in town with his buddy José so the week had planned itself out pretty nicely.
On visiting Tarifa a few years back to ride the tail end of Beast from the East, me and a buddy almost drowned in mental swell with 60mph+ winds. This time was looking to be a little calmer!
After the first day we where offered a place to stay in La Linear bordering Gibraltar which was only 45mins up the road, of-course we decided to take him up on it while the forecast wasn't looking great for the next day!
We relaxed and partied in La Linear then decided to head back to Tarifa for the big session at El Foso (Lavente) which has been a dream of mine for some time- Happy Birthday to me...
Local rider Liam Waley turned up for the session alongside Airton Cozzolino and where going absolutely massive.
