82 Year Old Migrant Graduates and Inspires a Nation

Rafael Aguirre proved there is no age limit on chasing dreams. At 82 years old, the Mexican migrant graduated from Amarillo College in Texas and earned a standing ovation that later went viral.

Wearing his cap and gown with pride, he became known online as “The Graduating Grandpa.”

Despite working full-time and learning in a second language, Aguirre’s determination never wavered. His story is more than inspirational. It is a reminder that it is never too late to learn.
