George Henderson & Co Staff Party 1955, Cross Keys Hotel, Kelso

This video features three images from one of the annual George Henderson & Co staff parties, held at the Cross Keys Hotel in Kelso.

My mum tells me that the staff parties were held usually early in the year, January or February, so were not really a "Christmas Party".

She was actually at this one, and features in one of the photos, so could tell me the year was 1955.

If you can put any names to faces, please leave them in a comment.

A lot of my grandad's photography archive is on slide, so I have bought a slide & negative scanner to go through this, and will post more on the channel in the future.

However, these three shots were found as prints in Colville House, Kelso, the old family home.

The prints were quite small, so I have scanned them and touched them up in Photoshop - there were some nasty scratches and marks on all three.

I then sharpened and denoised them, and increased the resolution using modern software.

These images are from the personal archive of T.S Henderson, formerly of George Henderson & Co, Kelso.

They have been digitally restored by his grandson.
