Currently a limited number of brands have embraced the gear box and drive belt, not because it is not better, but because it's so good that Shimano and Sram are pooping their pants and telling all the big brands not to do it yet.
Eventually Shimano, Sram and even Fox will also come out with their own versions of the gear boxes, which are already in the works.
Also, for big brands to migrate to this type of drivetrain system, they will needs to trash all their previous generation bikes, and redesign all their line up in order to accomodate for a gearbox. And that takes big money...
Zerode has embraced the gear box early on, Nicolai as well, and other brands like Atherton and Intense already have their prototype bikes being raced in the UCI Downhill world cups. Within 2 years their entire lineups will be based on gear box and drive belts.
