Iconic Black Panther XR - Michael D. McCarty

Metastage is honored to collaborate w/ Crux & Sēpia Collective on a new AR experience spotlighting the stories of Black Panther Party Alumni, starting with legendary storyteller and community educator @MichaelDMccarty. What a memorable and special day it was to have Mr. McCarty in the studio sharing his experiences for us and many others to come.
This is where volumetric capture technology really shines, and we are so excited to push the boundaries of documentary with this groundbreaking project. With this medium, we were able to record Mr. McCarty recounting his stories and advice to young activists in a way that is fully 3-dimensional but also true to life, without animation or CG. Crux and Sepia Collective will then integrate these stories into an interactive format using the latest in Microsoft's AI technology. This will allow users to experience Mr. McCarty's stories as if in an interview, intimate, interactive and immersive.
