How to colour flowers in WORLD OF FLOWERS | JOHANNA BASFORD | Polychromos | Adult colouring tutorial

In this Real-time tutorial I am continuing on our individual flower page from World of Flowers by Johanna Basford, and showing how to colour flowers using coloured pencils. For this picture I am using my Faber-Castell Polychromos pencils, as well as a white Posca paint pen.
You should be able to follow along using different pencils like Prismacolor, Derwent or Castle Art or any other pencil brand you may have.
I will show you how to layer oil based pencils, as well as how to blend coloured pencils. I'll also show you how to shade with Polychromos pencils.

Faber-Castell Polychromos are oil based pencils, so they work quite differently to a waxed based pencils, like i.e Prismacolor Premier. You will get the best out of your pencils by layering lots of light layers, and building up your colour slowly.
I aim to be able to colour a full flower in about 30 min in this video.
