What started as a pandemic workaround has become a fundamental rethink of how nurses are trained at Nightingale College: VR is now built into every clinical course, with AI patients that provide real-time feedback on everything from medication administration to patient communication.
The results? Final exam scores jumped 171 points after introducing VR, training takes 22% less time than traditional simulation, and costs have dropped by 40%.
In this episode of XRHQ Live, host Jeremy Dalton is joined by Juliet Kolde, President of Nightingale Innovations, and Kris Hsu, VR Product Manager, both at Nightingale Education Group, to unpack how they made it work at scale and what the data actually shows. They're joined by Nightingale graduate and registered nurse Michael Pulsipher, who shares how VR training prepared him for the realities of patient care on the ward.
