Bagoong Alamang Recipe

Sauteed Shrimp paste or Ginisang Bagoong Alamang are fermented small shrimps that were sauteed with garlic and pork. Some other versions put tomatoes and onion. This is one of Filipino's favorite dish or condiments which best paired with manggang hilaw, singkamas, and others. There are many Filipino dishes too that uses bagoong alamang for added flavor and some of these are Kare-kare, Binagoongan, and Pinakbet to name a few.

Ginisang Bagoong Alamang Recipe

Ingredients:
1/2 kilo shrimp paste
1/4 kilo pork with fat
3/4 cup sugar (or adjust according to your taste)
1 head garlic, minced
1/2 tsp. ground black pepper
2 red chilis (siling labuyo), chopped
250ml vinegar
