Sonic Adventure DX glitch: How to revisit the past!

Simply beat a level 256 (total) times to unlock the secret path to the past!
It's not known whether this works on GameCube or Dreamcast, but hey, you don't know until you try!

Sonic - Lost Horld, Sand Hill
Tails - Sand Hill
Knuckles - Casinopolis, Lost World, Sky Deck
Amy - Hot Shelter
Gamma - Emerald Coast
Big - Hot Shelter
