Going to court in Ancient Rome - What was it like?

What happened when someone committed a crime in ancient Rome? In this video we continue our series on Law & Order by looking at the history of the roman court system. This involves tracing its evolution of the course of the Monarchy, Republic, and Empire. As we do so, you will see the emergence of many aspects of Roman justice like judges, lawyers, juries, and more which will seem very familiar to us today.
