This is where smart manufacturing education becomes essential.​

India needs a new generation of engineers and professionals who are industry‑ready, manufacturing‑literate, and capable of working across automation, digitalisation, process optimisation, and manufacturing systems. These professionals will be key to driving productivity, competitiveness, and long‑term growth within India’s manufacturing sector.​

From a career perspective, this presents a massive opportunity. Manufacturing careers, particularly in smart manufacturing and advanced manufacturing, are becoming increasingly important as India focuses on Make in India, Skill India, and building a self‑reliant manufacturing economy.​
