NEW FMCSA Hours of Service Changes Explained by Compliance at Wilson Logistics
FMCSA's Hours Of Service regulations have been updated. Director of Compliance, Rhonda Thornton explains what the changes are and how it will affect our Wilson Logistics' drivers.
“Hours of service” refers to the maximum amount of time drivers are permitted to be on duty including driving time, and specifies number and length of rest periods, to help ensure that drivers stay awake and alert.
Rules that have been updated
1. CMV Short-Haul Exemption
2. Adverse Driving Conditions
3. 30 Minute Break
4. Split-Sleeper Berth
