Diezel VH4 pedal does Tool!

The Diezel VH4-2 pedal doing Tool riffs! In the video I am also using a Boss BF-2 Flanger for the flange effect as Adam Jones uses a BF-2. Using these two pedals together is a simple way to get a similar sound to Adam Jones with pedals. You could also add a Boss DD-3 and a wah.

My settings on the VH4 pedal are based on Adam's settings from pictures floating around online. I dial back the gain, treble and mids at the end of the video.

My signal chain is as you see in the beginning of the video. The Boss MS-3 is being used to route the VH4-2 into the FX loop of the Marshall, this way the VH4-2 is being used as a preamp instead of a typical distortion pedal in the front of the amp. This bypasses the sensitivity and gain controls on the amp. The power amp output is used on the VH4-2.

Guitar is a Les Paul style with Seymour Duncan 59s.

The amp is going to a TwoNotes Torpedo Captor with IRs added. No post processing, just minor high pass EQ on the IRs to improve the sound a little.
