Copper Price To BOOM By 2022? (How To Net 500%: Explained)

According to many analysts, copper has the potential to rally in price in coming months and years.

Still, not many people talk about it, perhaps because enthusiasts are more enamoured by gold, silver, and platinum. But due to supply and demand, a squeeze on any commodity will push its price up, and copper is certainly a commodity to watch. Its wide ranging and growing industrial uses include refrigeration, power pylons, electric vehicles, nanotechnology, 5G applications. The list is seemingly endless.

Today we look at two key companies which offer exposure to copper, and show you how you can maximise your potential for gain. The mining companies we look at are Freeport McMoran and Newmont. The larger of the two, Newmont, may look to take over Freemont and its large indonesian copper mine. If this event did occur, the resulting large company would offer an attractive portfolio of productive mine assets for investors coupled with the ability to repay all its IOUs within just two and a half years!

Nevertheless, even if the merger does not occur, the demand for copper and the fundamentally sound financials of Freemont are such that it is easy to justify a bullish posture on Freemont, and to acquire shares in the company as a long term value play accordingly.
My base thesis is that copper will rise in price considerably over the next 4-12 quarters, driven by heightened demand from China and the USA, and that the upshot of the increased purchasing of copper will be that Freemont McMoran's share price (which is trading at low historical levels due to various overblown mishaps), will ascend in value in fairly short order. As mentioned in the video, Newmont is als an excellent company offering broad exposure to high quality gold assets, and both companies have met consensus price targets over the past few years with one or two exceptions, and are set in my view for further success in the future. The time to buy in is while the price remains depressed below fair value.
