This Activity Teaches Kids with Autism to be Leaders Through Exercise

Many of those on the autism spectrum are (with the best intentions) told what tasks or activities they need to do to meet their respective goals. Coach Dave and the Exercise Connection Team have found that if you can give your students, clients, or children the choice, this can better engage them in exercises and lead to independence. In this video, Coach Riley is back again, asking Emmanuel to choose the exercises he wants to do. Emmanuel not only chooses the exercises but leads both Coach Riley and Coach Dave through the entire routine! Instructors, educators, and parents, with this protocol you still have the ability to select the exercises that may meet their IEP or personal health goals, but they have the choice to choose which they want to do.
