Frigate Landing Sim (3rd Person)

Frigate Landing Sim is a VR training & assessment tool for Landing Safety Officers during helicopter operations. Trainees use the Oculus Touch to wave in the aircraft, monitoring the movement of the deck and the helicopter and safely guiding it to landing in a variety of dynamic weather and lighting conditions.

In this video, we see a trainee using signalling wands to guide the helicopter in as weather conditions worsen and the landing becomes more dangerous. The trainee first completes a landing safely, and later aborts another landing by waving off the helicopter when it becomes too dangerous.
