NS Chicago Line after Christmas

Only got a couple catches from yesterday but quite a good bit of stuff today, even in the foggy weather. Yesterday's drive was just to go out and about and I decided to pull off east of Corunna to get a couple racing westbounds.

First was 205 with a trailing SD70ACC and a Dash 9 leader, nothing too crazy here.

Next was 23K, with some foreign power. One of CN's Tier-4 GEVOs leading, not much else to write home about that day.

Today howerver was decidedly different. I only came out to CP 379 in Kendallville just to get 21Q with NS 1066, the NYC heritage unit. Little did I know that I was about to get a good variety of trains.

Next up was perhaps the best lashup of the day on 310, two H2 BNSF GE units, a Dash 9 and an SD60E! A shame it wasn't leading, would've loved to hear that Leslie, however B43 would be parked nearby until the track cleared up and its solo engine had a Leslie RS3L on it.

Before track 2 was clear, 861 had to come through with a solo Dash 9. Nothing too terribly crazy here.

Then B43 finally got its limited clear signal to cross over and work KTR. That horn sounded so nice.

Right after that was Amtrak 49, the Lake Shore Limited. A very late one at that. Just the typical P42's up front.

Finally, 6K4, a UP AC44 and another CN tier-4 GEVO.
