Real Madrid legends Ronaldo and Zinedine Zidane gave football fans a royal treat in the 12th Match Against Poverty with a 16-goal thriller.

Nearly 34,000 fans at the Stade Geoffroy-Guichard watched a Saint-Étienne all-star side defeat United Nations Development Programme 9-7 on Monday evening.

Ronaldo's first drew UNDP level at 2-2.

Before ex-AC Milan central midfield maestro Clarence Seedorf ignited The Cauldron with a sublime lob.

Ronaldo then linked up with former Real team-mate Zidane to bag his brace. The Brazil hero struck the crossbar before slotting home at the second opportunity.

The pair shared a joke before combining to seal Ronaldo's hat-trick; the ex-Meringues duo enjoying the taste of a 6-3 lead.

Former Bolton Wanderers star Jay-Jay Okocha then simply trotted past the all-star defence to make it 7-5; the sort of slick footwork that dazzled the Premier League.

The all-star's then mounted a comeback which was capped by Borrusia Dortmund striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang; the ex-Greens hitman netting a hat-trick on his return to Loire.
