1965 Triumph Bonneviille Carburettor Conversion Part 1 Amal to Mikuni #motorcycle #upgrade #uk

Part 1, Removing the old 28.5mm Amals in Preparation for the 34mm Mikunis, after removing the old Amal carbs I had to give the manifold ports a good clean and polish before fitting the new Mikuni alloy manifolds, then lightly brushed with thread seal, it only took me three hours to complete the job, an hour was spent removing the old carbs, another hour cutting and fitting fuel lines with a filter attached as I was determined to have a feed from both fuel taps to both carbs in order to use one as reserve, after another half an hour of routing and adjusting the throttle cables it only took me half an hour to fit and secure the carburettors and air filters,... I'm not a qualified mechanic and I don't have any fancy expensive tools, but I do have a passion for old British Motorcycles plus a lot of Patience, of course the job wouldn't of been possible without a few British Brew Breaks 🇬🇧.
