350: California Wildflowers Blooming Now! **Current Conditions** Feb 1-5 (Anza, Carrizo & More!)

Wildflowers in California are blooming unusually early this year, and it’s already shaping up to be a fascinating season. Thanks to early winter storms and consistent rainfall, many regions across Central and Southern California are seeing color weeks, or even months, ahead of schedule. During the first week of February, I spent several days road-tripping across the state to check current wildflower conditions firsthand. While this is not a full-blown superbloom (yet), the early signs are promising. Here’s a location-by-location breakdown of what California wildflowers look like right now and what you can expect in the weeks ahead.
