Alex Scott collects the Attitude Sport Award in big 'pinch me moment'
Accepting the Sport Award at the Virgin Atlantic Attitude Awards, powered by Jaguar, the BBC presenter said “I know my value and the community I represent.”
Alex made global headlines last year after she chose to wear a One Love armband during live BBC World Cup coverage, just a matter of hours after FIFA threatened sanctions against players who would choose to do the same.
The Former Lioness and England captain Alex said the armands were supposed “to promote inclusion and send a message against discrimination of any kind.” Homosexuality is illegal and punishable with prison sentences and death in Qatar.
