I have been waiting for this show to be released for about three years since I read the comics. It made me feel so good and I loved every minute of it. The adaptation was page to screen exactly and I couldn’t help but squeal every time I saw something I recognised from the comics. I am going to make an edit fo each of the couples and maybe the show in general, but, of course, we have to start with Nick and Charlie. They were perfectly casted. Thank you so much for watching and hope the show brought you as much joy as it did me.

Rant:
This is mainly just my thoughts on the show and why I love it; I’m just placing it here because I need to express it.

Seeing such healthy representation of queer people as a queer person means the world to me, and Heartstopper is such a feel-good series that shows that, even though there’s hate in the world, you will find happiness. Seeing Nick go through his Bi crisis reminded me so much of when I went through mine, and it brought tears to my eyes to remember the fear and confusion I felt towards my emotions. Everything in it, from when he googles gay quizzes to when he finally tells his mom about it, felt so real and relatable to me. It felt like someone was finally telling the story through my perspective and without it ending in a catastrophic moment. I discovered so much about myself through the comics, and throughout the years since I’ve read it, I have always felt like the characters are urging me forward to be my true self and take risks for my happiness. It still hard for me to talk about being Bi with new people, but it kills me inside to feel like I have to hide it because I don’t know how people will react. Because of this, one of my favourite scenes in the comics and show is when Nick comes out to Tara and Darcy. They both understand the struggles of being out in an environment that is not completely open and listen to Nick about something that he had been dying to get off his chest but was too scared to say it. It means the world to me to see moments like this. I have many more thoughts but these are the main ones.
