In our new video, we highlight five of the most respected and well-known folk metal bands from Belarus—Znich, Omut, Irdorath, Adarvirog, and Litvintroll. Not all of them play pure metal, but each is uniquely talented, seamlessly blending Belarusian folk music with modern riffs and rhythms.

As a reminder, the current policies of Belarus’s unrecognized president, Alexander Lukashenko, are aimed at destroying the country’s cultural heritage—including its underground music scene. That’s why we’re bringing these bands to the world’s attention—to ensure their music isn’t erased!
