Sr. Damien Marie Savino is a Franciscan Sister of the Eucharist and Dean of Science and Sustainability and Associate Professor of Engineering at Aquinas College in Grand Rapids, Michigan. She received a B.S degree in Biogeography from McGill University, an M.S. in Soil and Plant Science from the University of Connecticut, an M.A. in Theology from The Catholic University of America, and a Ph.D. in Civil (Environmental) Engineering from The Catholic University of America. As Dean she supervises the Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Geography and Environmental Studies Departments and the Center for Sustainability at Aquinas College. Her research interests include theology and science, ecology and theology, ecological restoration and resilience theory.
