Senate President Steve Sweeney: "Absolutely Political"

SUKANYA KRISHNAN: Okay. Well the decision by you to hold hearing effectively delays the vote to override the vetoes until closer to the November 8th elections. Am I correct on that? So is this a political move for everybody?

SENATE PRESIDENT SWEENEY: No, no, no.

KRISHNAN: The 120 legislative seats that are up for grabs.

SWEENEY: No, that is not correct. We will be meeting today to caucus to figure out when we're coming back next week. We're taking votes next week. Listen if I waited until -- if I waited until October or November that absolutely would be political in my mind.
