Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan, is the largest city in the Caucasus region and lies on the western shore of the Caspian Sea. It is notable for being the world’s lowest-lying capital, situated 28 meters below sea level. The city, home to over two million people, serves as Azerbaijan’s cultural, industrial, and scientific hub. Known as the “City of Winds,” Baku combines historical significance with vibrant urban life, making it a unique destination in the region

In this video, I take you on a journey through Baku’s most iconic modern landmarks. We visit the the scenic Seafront Promenade, offering breathtaking views of the Caspian Sea and the city’s futuristic skyline. Enjoy Little Venice and the many architectural wonders such as the Deniz Mall, the Azerbaijan Carpet Museum, shaped like a rolled-up carpet and - of course - the impressive Flame Towers, where we also visit the serene Shehidler Khiyabani Mosque and the Eternal Flame Memorial.

And at the end I show you the flowing curves of Zaha Hadid’s masterpiece, the Heydar Aliyev Center—a symbol of innovation and Azeri culture. Enjoy!
