The Vortex Strike Eagle 1-8x24, I'm left feeling luke warm about it. It has all the making's of a great optic, but it's not quite there. However, for the majority of shooter's that will get it, they will love it.

I forgot to mention a suggestion I'd make to Vortex. Instead of having the entire reticle be illuminated, Just illuminate the center dot. It would aid in the scope being used as a red-dot more and should brighten it up as well.
