Shortline Railroad Switching/Shunting ex Norfolk And Western Railway Branch Line! Old Locomotives!

Branch line railway switching on reopened and leased railway short line Cincinnati East Terminal Railway on historic Norfolk And Western Railway Peavine Line. Midwest American railfanning at its best! Ancient and historic railway signals are on this old coal hauling line although they are inactive. Filmed June 23, 2015. First shot was me checking the tracks near my house near MP 40 to see if I had missed the train that was supposed to go through on this day. Obviously, I didnt. Later, I drove to Sardinia Ohio near MP 48 about 8 miles to the east to catch the train after I got news that it had just passed through my area. CCET was taking 5 empty covered hoppers to the grain elevator at Winchester MP 57.5 and picking up 2 loaded ones. I chased it to Winchester and again showed the rail up close to show the rust before and after the train. The grain elevator used their SW9 switcher that they purchased from National Railway Equipment out of Illinois to help in the shunting process. After work was done, the CCET shut down on the main at 6pm for the day. There was no need to go east to Mt Zion about MP 60 to run around the train since the switcher helped with the work.
The 5 cars that were delivered to the grain elevator in this video were retrieved on June 29, 2015. CCET #2807 ran lite and got the loaded cars. I made a video of that also and it was posted a few days later. Please comment, rate and subscribe to JAWTOOTH!!
