Will it Run? Episode 23: 1926 Ford Model T! First start in 50 years...
This Ford Model T hasn't been started in over 50 years! Can we get it to go with less than 2 days' work? Let's give it a little tune-up and try to fire it up!
I hope you guys like this 1926-1927 Model T coupe that my friend Matt found for me... I mentioned to him that I wanted a "tall T" in all-original condition, and did he ever find the right one!
She's a barn-stored, one-family owned car, stored since the late 40s, according to the info I got from the gentleman that sold me the car. He bought some T's at a farm auction in Saskatchewan last year, and was just going to use the rougher ones to make a T racer, and agreed to sell me this sweetie!
I never thought I'd find such a nice untouched one at an affordable price, so I am just thrilled with it. Plans are to make it run well enough to putt around the yard, and eventually go through the mechanicals and restore the interior so it can be driven as much as possible!
