Rail traffic in Hungary - One day in Szárliget -- Fulfilled day of fast and freight rail sounds [4K]

From the foggy morning to the sunny and clear evening, this video shows a lot of trains in one whole day in Szárliget village and its surroundings. Many fast passenger trains and slightly less freight trains filled this day at the track junction and switch area of the railway station Szárliget.

This railway station is located on the main line from Budapest to Central and Western Europe, at Budapest – Hegyeshalom – Rajka railway line, between Budapest and Győr, near Szár and Tatabánya (Budapest – Hegyeshalom – Rajka vasútvonal at Komárom - Esztergom Hungarian county region). The area is characterized by a winding 140km/h and 160km/h two-track corridor railway line, which crosses over hilly undulating terrain, with an abundance of beautiful meadows and fields.

In order to achieve the best train - rail sound effects the recording was realized in the area of the track switches on both sides of the station. There's a bunch of rail track junctons and rail gaps, where the wheels and bogies of fast passing trains make the well-known and most beautiful railway sounds.

With plenty of different freight and speed passenger trains, spending a whole day on this line is not boring, especially for railway enthusiasts and photographers. Among others, there are InterCity, EuroCity, EuroNight, Railjet and Regiojet trains, as well as intermodal and mixed freight MÁV, ÖBB and Raaberbahn or GYSEV trains.

Recording started early in the morning, around 7am, in a very dense fog. The sight of the fog on the railway with the sun breaking through it, could be interesting as the trains appear out of nowhere and blast through it. After two hours, the fog gradually lifted to give way to low clouds and a sunny day. Recording was completed just before dark, by a slow freight train, which was overtaken by the fast Railjet.
