3 Ways to Create a Gel Polish and Oil Design - Nail Hacks.

Hi Everybody,

In this video, I'm going to show you... How to do a cool effect using Gel Polish and Oil.

Start off with a metallic base, create a shiny surface with Gel Top Coat, once cured, take your metallic and do one thin coat, once dry put on Urban Grafitti Top Coat. Using four contrasting colours, I have GLASS AND A HALF, LIMONCELLO, HAWAIIAN LEI and OCEAN DEPTHS. I have some backing paper here as well.

Take you Teatree Cuticle Oil and rub it through with my finger to 'marble' the Gel Polish, pull your finger over the nail and the oil helps it move. Then use Gel Residue Remover on a Lint-Free pad and wipe off the excess oil, then we Top Coat the nail.

That's one way to do it! Here's another.

To create the Coral effect take Ocean Depths, which is darker, so remember darker colours will overtake the paler ones. Take the sample fo them all on a piece of greaseproof paper and make your design as big or little as possible. A calligraphy pen is useful here as it holds more oil. By dabbing the oil on the polish it'll push away the Gel.

Once that's set we're going to use a Lint-Free wipe and the Gel Residue and wipe off the excess oil. By bending the Lint-Free wipe and peel off the design. Lay the design over the top of the nail and it will stick to the Gel Top Coat and curl it under the whole nail, another layer of Gel Top Coat.

For this next one, CHAMPAGNE BUBBLES is used for the background as it shines through. Then we have Snow White, Ocean Depths & GLASS AND A HALF. Now a thin layer of white and pull through the other colours, using oil from a little spray bottle to apply it to the nail. Using the Gel Residue to take away the excess oil, the Top Coat won't sit otherwise.
